Dependency Management for the J2C (Journey-To-Cloud) Tribe, Coordination / support of initiative in an Agile environment.

Out client is an international company in finance. The role of Road Manager can be considered in a way as an Agile Project Manager where the agile teams (tribes) define their long term and quarterly objective, and where the Road Manager is going the help them to reach their objectives.

Usually Tribes will depend from each others and the Road Manager is the one that bridges the team together, ensuring the team can align their planning so that the value can be delivered within the requester quarter.

Other activities includes risks and issue resolution, support to programs, help tribes to prepare their quarterly review and work on continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Contribute to the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) preparation, execution and follow up by providing the necessary detail and status on all squad and tribe dependencies and participating in the creation of the QBR note, following up on comments and discussions
  • Contribute to the Big Room Planning (BRP) preparation, execution and follow-up by working together with the tribe coaches, reviewing and co-authoring relevant material supporting material.
  • For strategic initiatives and programs, collaborate with Program Managers and play the role of program entry point into the tribe, to orient external demand to the relevant product owner. Facilitate monitoring of progress, risks and issues with regards to strategic initiatives and programs. Ensure that the demand, dependencies, risks and issues are identified and progressed as part of Tribe's backlog
  • Support the tribe with alignment on priorities and facilitation of inter/intra-tribe dependencies and impediments.
  • Create company-wide visibility on cross-tribe dependencies a/o by keeping the dependency list up-to-date.
  • Network with partners (tribe coaches, agile coaches, tribe architects, tribe security experts, tribe CRO point of contact) and Road Managers colleagues to ensure a coherent flow of information. Focus on early, clear, information sharing, potential problems and alignments required to preventing last minutes surprises.

Profile

  • 8 years of relevant experience within the area of IT product development, IT Project Management and/or area of similar complexity.
  • Knowledgeable on industry trends and innovation, with strong interest in how organizations are employing current and emerging technologies;
  • Problem solving mindset with proven facilitation and coaching skills, working with diverse team and for increasingly complex situations;
  • Influencing and negotiation skills in an environment with high competition for resources;
  • Continuous learning attitude with solid business and technical understanding;
  • Experience of working in environments involving Agile development is a plus; certification in Agile methodologies (SCRUM) would be advantageous;
  • University degree in IT/engineering/science/economics/MBA or equivalent qualification/experience
