Job description

As an application manager, you support the introduction of new applications and guide new developments in existing packages. A job with many contacts in which you make full use of your technical talent.

You will be working in the IT department that deals with the communication and information flows in all the client's shops. Think of the adjustments to the software of the cash registers, the use of smartphones in the shop or the adjustment of the ESL (electronic price labels).

What you'll do

• You support and guide the introduction of new applications or the integration of applications with existing packages and you take care of the lifecycle management of the applications.
• In case of major incidents, you are the first point of contact. You mobilise colleagues to get systems operational as quickly as possible. You also consult regularly with other application managers, the service delivery manager, developers and suppliers,
• You manage the applications and monitor the technical architecture and configuration management, operational parameters, stability and continuity and the release calendar of the applications. In this way, SLAs and SLEs are guaranteed at all times
• You make an inventory of questions, needs and risks for the applications. You make optimisation proposals in consultation with your business, the process manager and the business architect.
• You keep a close eye on everything so that you can give advice on all sorts of matters and you are alert to trends in the outside world or possible innovations for our services.

Profile

• At least three years of relevant work experience within development or application management. Experience with multiple technologies, such as Batch, PLSQL, JAVA Angular, Oracle ...
• An extensive knowledge of methodological knowledge such as ITIL, DEVOPS or AGILE is an asset.
