Job description

Implement and ensure adherence to the quality process and keep it in line with the safety process.

What you'll do

  • Fine-tune the quality process for the EBP program.
  • Establish and monitor the quality plan e.g. acc. ISO 9001, define quality targets based on project critical factors and define methods/tools based on company standards.
  • Align the quality and configuration process with the safety processes (CSM – EN50128 – EN50129).
  • Implement the quality process for software development and asset management.
  • Follow multiple projects (from multiple teams) in parallel.
  • Execute internal process audits to determine adherence to the quality process , report deviations and follow-up the action plan
  • Report quality status, quality incidents and root-cause-analysis to project management, team management, business management, and other defined parties.
  • Communicate quality targets to all people affected or involved. Escalate project-endangering situations as set forth in the mission of the function.

Profile

  • Has experience in a QA role (ISO9001)
  • Has (at least “basic”) knowledge about Safety (EN510126, 50128 and 50129)
  • Have a good understanding of SW development and architecture (languages: C, Java; linux; …)
  • Be able to work in team but also independently and autonomously.
  • Communicate well to request the required information to perform the tasks.
  • Be accurate in reviewing the input information and execution of the tasks.
  • Be fluent in NL, FR & ENG. Oral and writing
  • Be agile minded
  • Be very meticulous and precise as the developed software will be used in operational systems which may impact the railway traffic.

Required skills

  • Expert in ISO 9001 process
  • Experience with application of EN 50126/50128/50129 and CSM (Common Safety Method)
  • Know-how of CENELEC norms (related to trains)
  • Experience with software applications which will be used in safety critical applications
  • Software environment • Understand Debian / Ubuntu / RedHat Linux system environment • Understand C and Java
  • Understand software architecture
