Job description

For one of our clients we are looking for a Senior Radio Frequency Technician .
The main tasks of the (RF) Technician is to install, maintain & upgrade the RF Systems such as wireless internet access points and cellular telephone antennas.


* Main responsibilities:
- Activation tests of new indoor and outdoor 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G-sites and
extensions.
- Optimisation tests for improvement of network quality.
- Perform indoor simulation measurements for new DECT customers.
- Mobile Explore measurements and reporting.
- General drive tests for customer and network trouble tickets.
- EMR and health-related tests.
These activities take place all over Belgium.

What you'll do

• Drive car with test equipment.
• Operating a TEMS and SWISSQUAL drive test system.
• Drive test of air-interface: drive around in requested area, around new sites and close neighbours, testing all sectors/layers.
  
• Troubleshooting and on-the-spot analysis of network problems regarding airinterface and parameters of the different network layers and take actions to solve them to assure a smooth inter-working.
  
• Set up of test sites for simulations and propose best technical solution (indoor, outdoor, macrocells, picocells, DECT and WIFI).
  
• Post-processing, reporting of measurements and actions, correct archiving of the performed reports.
  

Profile

• Education:
  - Graduate in Electronics and/or Telecommunication or equivalent experience.
  

Required skills

• Good knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE air interface, parameters and antenna systems, 5G knowledge is plus.
  
• Experience with TEMS, R&S, SwissQual, measurement systems and Actix analysis systems.
  
• Experience in information and office applications (MS Office).
• Drivers License B
• Languages: NL&EN or FR&EN
