Job description

Harvey Nash has been tasked with searching a Java Developer to join our clients team that handles an internal application, which covers personnel information, relating to the employment of staff members.

The current application that now comes under the name "electronic personnel file" (EPD) is a mainframe application. Today, the system is adequate in terms of robustness and reliability, but the EPD is also outdated in many respects and does not provide "state-of-the-art services" to various users. Thus, this project aims to gradually renew the current system over several years on the basis of an updated technological environment (Java) and expand it with the services expected of a modern application today.

You will mainly work from home, attendance at the office in Brussels or Hasselt may be needed for meetings.

What you'll do

Profile

• Fluency in Dutch and English.

Required skills

• You have good knowledge and experience in Java, Angular, and Cucumber, as well as Container platform. Docker and PostgreSQL are not new to you;
• You have experience with Modular architecture and event-driven development, and you have experience with Cloud native computing;
• You have knowledge of CI/CD and Domain-Driven-Design, as well as BDD (Behaviour Driven Development) and Living documentation.
