Job description

As a Sales Engineer, your role involves providing technical expertise to support the sales process and assist customers. You will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of bidding and tenders targeted at government institutions. By combining in-depth technical knowledge with excellent sales and communication skills, you will meet customer needs and submit successful proposals.

What you'll do

  • You will understand the technical specifications and capabilities of our products and services.
  • You will provide advice to customers on the best solutions that meet their requirements. Your knowledge will be applied to develop technically sound proposals.
  • Working closely with the sales team during the pre-sales phase, you will provide technical support. This includes conducting product demonstrations, answering technical questions, and preparing proposals. By helping customers understand the technical aspects of our products and services, you will build strong relationships.
  • You will effectively communicate complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • You will work closely with internal teams such as R&D, product management, and legal departments to gather technical information and prepare necessary bid documents. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers and partners to identify and integrate the best solutions into proposals.
  • You will be responsible for leading the technical aspect of bidding and tender processes. This involves analyzing the bid documents, understanding customer needs, and developing suitable technical solutions.
  • You will actively collaborate with customers, providing technical solutions that meet their requirements. You can identify technical challenges and translate them into practical solutions
  • You will stay updated on market trends and competitive activities. This information will be utilized to improve sales strategies and identify new opportunities.


  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of the offered products and services.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to convey technical information to customers in an understandable manner.
  • Good project management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel when necessary (within the Netherlands).
  • Proficiency in Dutch with a good knowledge of English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
