Job description

Our client, strong player as an energy provider is looking for a AWS Solutions Architect.
They have made the strategic choice for AWS and have built a new central Data Platform in the cloud to experiment and industrialize AI and ML for all the Business Departments.
Currently a number of AI use cases have been developed and are running on the Data Platform and now focus is to move the classic DWH and all data & analytics related activities to AWS.
Our Data Platform Team is therefore looking for a Senior Cloud Data Solution Architect with proven hands-on experience in defining and implementing data platforms on AWS, to further extend its Cloud Data Architecture migrating the on-premise DWH and supporting new use cases.

What you'll do

• The Luminus Cloud Data Platform must support:
  • Batch and real-time data pipelines
  • Reporting, dashboarding and ad-hoc analytics
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • REST API’s to expose analytics to other (internal and external) applications
  
• Responsible for the overall solution architecture of the Cloud Data Platform and its capabilities in line with the Enterprise Architecture Architectural guidelines
• Responsible that implementations are according to defined architectural and development standards & guidelines
• Advise and coach data platform engineers in implementing capabilities, shared components and development patterns
• Advise and coach data platform/data engineers in designing solutions for complex or new types of use cases
• Advise and coach tool/technology experts in defining best practices, standards & guidelines

Required skills

• Proven experience in defining Data Architectures in AWS
• Proven hands-on experience in designing general infrastructure and Data Solutions (incl. real-time and AI) on AWS (Kafka/Kinesis, Redshift/Snowflake, Airflow, S3, VPC, Security, API Gateway or alternatives, IAM/SSO, Account Mgt,…)
• Proven hands-on experience in SW and Data development (SQL, Spark, Java, Python, Git, Maven, JSON, AVRO, Parquet, Swagger,…)
• Experience in SW Development best practices (DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, documentation,…)
• Experience in Data Modelling: Data Vault 2.0/3NF/Dimensional
• Experience in working in Agile/Scrum mode
• Team player
• Strong communication skills and skills to get people aligned/convinced
• French or Dutch + English
• AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF PROVEN HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN DEFINING AND IMPLEMENTING AI/ML AND BI SOLUTION ARCHITECTURES IN AWS
• AT LEAST 10 YEARS OF PROVEN HANDS-ON DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE IN BOTH SW AND DATA SOLUTIONS
• AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF PROVEN HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN STREAMING AND BATCH DATA PROCESSING
