What you'll do

• You join a team of 5 solution IT architects in the Service Center “Infrastructure as a Service” : 3 in Belgium and 2 in India (Hyderabad).
• As an experienced IT architect, you will help lay the foundations of the IT architecture of your IT partners
• You will stand at the cradle of important digital developments.
• The IT architecture team builds the infrastructure and application landscape, aligned with the Enterprise IT architecture and the reference architecture.
• You will belong to a global community of 70+ architects (specializing in our other solution IT architecture disciplines).
• You design IT solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the client and are in line with the Enterprise IT and reference architecture. You are specialized in infrastructure and can take up other IT architecture roles as well (security, integration, application etc etc)
• You will help build our infrastructure landscape consisting of on premise and cloud applications, packaged solutions and in-house development.
• You create support for your IT solution both among the client, the project team and the experts.
• You identify IT risks and support the client in taking decisions and evaluating alternative solutions. You provide infrastructure consultancy to stakeholders
• You develop the reference architecture according to the client's needs and in synchronisation with general evolutions in the IT field, if these can be of benefit to the client. Any experience where you acted as SPoC for such a reference architecture is a plus.
• You follow up the IT realisation by our expert teams as one of the co-workers in a project or program, usually by joining forces with a lead architect, occasionally taking up the lead architect role yourself.
• You document architecture decisions
• You contribute to architecture governance by participating in the necessary governance processes and/or by participating in existing governance boards. You are willing to take up the role of (meeting) coordinator for one of these boards.

Profile

• You have a master's degree or equivalent experience.
• You have worked as an IT System Engineer for at least 6 years and preferably as an IT architect for about 8 years
• Conceptual ability - Your designs start from a concept: your client wants to achieve a goal or has a problem
• You listen and think with the client. Then you come up with concrete solutions
• At all times, our architectural reference models are your guide
• You have contributed to architecture communities of practice (craftsmanship focus) and any experience as a Single Point of Contact (for example key user role) outside of project activities is a plus.
• Customer focus - In everything you do, you keep the client's interests in mind
• You identify IT risks, follow IT infrastructure developments and dare to take decisions in complex situations
• You give well-founded advice so that your client can make a choice
• Communicatively strong - You communicate fluently and know how to convince others through your involvement, assertiveness and accessibility
• You are willing to occasionally take up the role of Technical Project Leader and to take up the role of Key User (Single Point of Contact) where needed
• You are willing to represent infrastructure architecture at our steer & govern bodies
• You energize others in our global IT community with your NVC (non-violent communication) style.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EA modelling languages and frameworks, such as Archimate and TOGAF
• Knowledge of Edge computing
• Any experience in the Retail Business is a plus
• You communicate fluently in English (written and spoken) with your colleagues in Belgium and India, sometimes you might interact with colleagues in France
• Knowledge of Dutch is a must, especially spoken. Knowledge of French is a plus
• Any intercultural / multi-national collaboration experience is a plus.
• Hands-on and/or conceptual knowledge of Azure is a plus
