Domain Lead IT - SAP Finance

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Domain Lead IT - SAP Finance to join a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme.
The Domain Lead will be responsible for the coordination and overall management of IT activities related to the Finance domain, acting as the key link between business stakeholders, IT teams, project teams and external implementation partners.
The role combines SAP Finance functional expertise, domain leadership, stakeholder management, governance and project coordination. The successful candidate will ensure that Finance solutions remain aligned with business requirements, programme objectives and the overall SAP S/4HANA target architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Domain Leadership & Governance
* Lead and coordinate IT activities across the SAP Finance domain.
* Define priorities, monitor progress and manage dependencies.
* Coordinate the resources involved in the Finance domain.
* Provide regular reporting to programme leadership and IT management.
* Ensure alignment between business requirements and programme objectives.
Stakeholder & Team Coordination
* Act as the main point of contact for the Finance domain.
* Coordinate Business, IT, Infrastructure, Integration and external implementation teams.
* Facilitate decision-making and resolution of complex domain topics.
* Organise and lead workshops, progress meetings and governance sessions.
* Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and external partners.
Risk, Issue & Quality Management
* Identify, track and escalate risks, issues and decisions.
* Define and monitor mitigation and action plans.
* Ensure compliance with programme standards, methodologies and processes.
* Monitor the quality of Finance-related deliverables.
SAP Finance & Functional Analysis
* Analyse and challenge business requirements.
* Lead the preparation of functional requirements and specifications.
* Contribute to the definition of target SAP solutions.
* Provide expertise on Finance processes and cross-domain impacts.
* Review and validate proposed solutions before implementation.
Testing, Migration & Go-Live
* Supervise the preparation and execution of functional and integration testing.
* Follow up on defects and ensure their resolution.
* Contribute to data migration and cut-over preparation.
* Support Go/No-Go decisions for the Finance domain.
* Ensure appropriate test scenarios are defined, documented and validated.
Required Experience & Skills
SAP Finance
* 5+ years of experience in large-scale SAP Finance projects.
* Strong expertise in SAP Finance processes, including:
* General Ledger / accounting
* Controlling * Financial closing
* Financial reporting
* Proven experience with SAP Finance ECC6.
* Proven experience with SAP Finance on S/4HANA.
* Proven experience with the new S/4HANA Finance structures, including Universal Journal and table simplification.
* Experience with SAP integration and understanding of dependencies with other SAP domains.
* Participation in at least one SAP S/4HANA migration or deployment project.
* Strong functional analysis experience, ideally 5+ years.
Project & Domain Leadership
* 5+ years of experience coordinating or leading multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience working with business stakeholders and external SAP integrators.
* Strong experience in risk, issue, defect and action-plan management.
* Proven ability to operate within large-scale ERP transformation programmes.
* Understanding of the organisational impacts associated with ERP transformation.
Testing * Proven experience preparing and validating test scenarios.
* Strong understanding of functional and integration testing methodologies and techniques.
* Experience with a test management tool such as HP Quality Center (HPQC) or an equivalent is a plus.
Additional Skills
* Ability to understand and interpret BPMN diagrams is a plus.
* English at B1 level is a plus.

Practical Information

* Due to the limited accessibility of the Gosselies site by public transport, a driving licence and own vehicle are required. * Full-time availability is preferred, although a part-time arrangement may be considered.
