Job description

Harvey Nash is working on a new project! Today, for one of our clients active in Energy Transition, a plan to extend the offshore high voltage grid has come forth, by constructing a modular offshore grid, which shall connect the new Belgian windfarms situated within the "Princess Elisabeth Windfarm Zone".
They are looking for built an artificial energy island with offshore transmission infrastructure, multiple AC substations at 66kV & 220 kV, multiple export cable systems, HDVC connection between the artificial island and the new substation, and a possibility of connecting future HVDC interconnectors.

The project is currently progressing in the concept and design phase. A lot of concepts have to be created, checked, and approved in light of the upcoming tender phase for the 220 kV AC and 525kV DC offshore infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Report to the HVAC substation package manager/integration manager;
• Works in a multidisciplinary team together with, amongst others, the project manager, the DC package manager, project engineers, experts, procurements officers, HSE experts, PMO officers...;
• You support the development of the MOG2 project during all phases;
• You will take the lead on the mechanical aspects of the equipment on the Island, ranging from the firefighting and HVAC system to Cranes, Life support systems, pumps, as well as oil water seperators;
• As mechanical project engineer, you will be responsible for following up on engineering consultants, comparing alternatives as part of the conceptual design based on eg., cost benefit analyses, as well as preparing documentation, and participating in FAT's during the execution phase.

Profile

• Experience in the offshore sector is a plus;
• Working structured, independent, and precise;
• A quick learner.

Required skills

• You have experience in technical specifications and/or technical reports;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• Excellent MS Office skills;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written as spoken.
