Job description

The main tasks of a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer is to design, implement and
maintain the wireless communication systems.

What you'll do

• Designing RF schematics for new wireless networks
• Perform radio planning & design of 2/3/4 & 5G radio access networks
• Surveying potential new sites for optimal positioning of communication towers through technical site reviews
• Initial antenna configuration design & approval of technical drawings
• Ordering of specific vendor radio equipment & definition of radio parameters with the final antenna configuration
• Ensuring that regulatory standards are being met
• Consolidation of all information needed to order the health report to ensure compliance of the design with the health norm applicable in the region of installation
• Optimizing the performance of existing wireless networks
• Validation of sites in terms of coverage and quality
• Analyzing equipment and identifying areas for improvement
• Communication of KPIs
• Assure a perfect reflection of the access network configuration in the design database, adapting power as needed to align with the health report recommendations

Required skills

• Knowledge of multiple radio access technologies (2/3/4G & LTE)
• Knowledge of an RF planning tool such as Atoll, Siterra or MapInfo is an advantage
• Knowledge of Huawei hardware equipment & monitoring tool (PRS) is beneficial
• Ability to understand & analyze wireless network KPIs
• Excellent knowledge of Office and database applications
